WALTHALL COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Reports were circulating that the Walthall County Jail had closed. After some investigation, it was revealed that the jail didn't close, but is no longer housing inmates. According to Sheriff Duane Dillon, six inmates were being housed in the Walthall County Jail and have been relocated to the Marion-Walthall Correctional Facility in Columbia.
